    Nothing like working with your boys. If anything like mine, doubles the time needed but makes it far more enjoyable then doing it by myself. SHSU

    If you have one spark that is firing slower have you checked your stator? SHSU

    You should have an idle speed screw/stop to adjust your idle speed. Also, if you are Out of the Water I have found my motor to Idle higher then when in the water. As for the tach, mine came with some reflective tape I put on top of the fly wheel. SHSU

    Did you modify any of the stops on the engine or the PO? I din't trust my Tach originally and got a cheap digital laser tachometer to verify speeds. Helped me feel comfortable that my tach was reading correctly. SHSU

    Any particular reason you want a speedometer? So many free gps apps on the phone or a Fishfinder with navigation will have it as well. SHSU

    Only thing to think about is where water might pool and sit in contact with the lid. As long as there is some space for the underside to breath where it contacts the alunimum frame so water doesn't get traped for a long time you should be fine. SHSU
