well last night I did a little messing around with it. I bought a new fuel line (from gas tank to motor). And I followed the + cable all the way so I knew I had the right one. Anyway I got it started and it ran well but then when I went to drop into gear it...
i just bought this boat and it has a 90 merc anyway when I hooked up the battery termanals and they got really hot like hot even to touch. Can any body help me out on this on im stuck....

who would know the spark plugs used in this motor.<br />I have a manual and it does not have any listings.<br />It tells you about the plugs but not which plug is for that motor. :confused:
OK I looked for the id# for the motor and found a place where I think it use to be.. It was a little metal plate but it was gone just the two little screws where it use to be. It was located on the mounting arm, neck of the motor im sorry I dont know what its called... Anyway can somebody tell...
First off I would like to let everybody know im new to this so bare with me....<br />I tried to start the motor(60 Johnson) with the ears on and the motor started right up, but the water was not cycling threw. I shut it down and reset the ears and tried again. Never did I run for it a long time...
