i have a1978 evenrude 140 hp outboard i just purchesed model no 140843c seemed to run great until after i run it a while then cant get it torun agaain starts then stops very hard to get started again if i can get it going. what can someone tell me about these engins
i bought a 35 evenrude and i it dosent seem to have the power i expected .how can i determine weather or not im correct.i looked at the top of pistons and they are a bit grey.would this be a clue to low power?
i have a 100 hp evenrude about a 1974 id say. dont have the controals so i hooked up batry to it and jumped the starter with a screwdriver ..the motor starts to turn over well then slows down and bearly turns. took out plugs and it turns over easlybut has no spark .pulled flywheel and cleaned...
i finaly got my murcy 25 hp running but has no power checked compression and is 100 on each cyl inder.i noticed that the butterfly never opened so i tryed to manually open it .when i did that i stalled it and tryed to restart .then i started to have severe engin kickback sounds like the motor...
