This happened towing the boat, recommendations on repairing? Never did any gel coat repair before. I was going to order this repair kit - will it do the job? Any tips / tricks, again I have no idea how to do this so any tips would be great...

Flying 2000 mi to pickup my boat and I know I will need a battery to get the drive up, no idea what type of battery I need. Its a 2007 Chaparral 214 Sunesta with a 5.0 Merc. Whhat type battery do I need? Can I get one at a local car parts place?
Boat will be in a dry storage rack (multi-level 3 sided boat dry dock) in FL. I currently have a full sharkskin cover that straps to trailer and also has a rope to tie it off. The marina says they will cover and/uncover the boat after it comes out of the water and before it goes in the rack...
