    i need to send away the timer base for remanufacturing. I took the flywheel off and i wasnt sure if the timer base was the green outter ring with the magnets or the inner ring with the 2 sensors or is it both? thanks

    76 evinrude 85 hp

    my motor was running fine one day and the next time i took it out the motor would run fine at low speed but when i tried to speed up it didnt go above 3200 RPM. i then found out that the two spark plugs on the right were not firing. Would this be the coils? or is it something else? thanks

    i had my boat out last week and it ran great then i took it out a few days ago and it ran good at slow speed but when i left the no wake zone i had no power and the motor would not go above 3200 RPM, when just a week ago it ran up to 6000 RPM and had pleanty of power.     Steering on a 85HP outboard

    I just installed "the rack" steering system on a V4 85 HP outboard and it takes alot of force to turn the steering wheel when going at slow speeds. I was wondering if the no feed back system would put a stop to this. Thanks

    1976 Evinrude 85 hp stays idle until almost full throttle

    when i push the throttle forward and reverse the motor stays at idle until the throttle is pushed almost the whole way in forward or reverse.
