    engine cuts out under load

    25 4 stroke merc idles fine but will cut out if i try to give it gas or put it into gear. the bulb loses stiffness as well, but it was just replaced. Even when I pump the bulb it will cut out when I give it any gas at all. Help!

    loss of power

    had a rope caught in prop for about 3 min until i realized something was wrong. now i seem to lose power at wot at times. it surges then returns to wot. Could it be a spun prop?

    Interesting flooding problem

    Specs 2002 Merc 50 hp 2stroke Last week after idling for 30 minutes it would not start and was flooded. Waited an hour and it started up but there was lots of gas in the water. Did a compression test and all 3 cylinders showed around 95 and when I put the plugs back in it fired right up...

    Where to buy fuel line for carbs??

    Seems like an easy find, but none of the marine stores around here carry the small fuel lined that go between the carbs. Engine is a 2002 50hp 2stroke?

    looking for a project

    I am looking to rebuild a small outboard motor for a project. I really just want to get more familiar with how these engines work and come together. Any thoughts on a size or earliest year I should go back to. I was thinking less then a 10hp.

    New Trim Motor Where does the oil go

    Just got my new MES trim motor and there is no place to add the oil. Is it self contained? The old motor had a bleed/refill screw but this one has nothing. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

    At the boat need help fast. Trim motor.

    I'm replacing trim motor for 2002 merc 50hp. Do I need to remove the (metal) screw at the bottom of the trim motor to refill the oil, or can I refill through the plastic screw at the top of the trim motor. Bottom screw will not break loose. Thanks

    Look at Pic, need advice on nav lights

    The current bow nav lights are not legal. The rail at the deck is too high approx 1" off deck. All the flush mount lights I see are too low profile to work properly. Any Ideas??
