    Took the boat out fishing .It ran great trolled about two hours ,wrapped up to go back in no throttle response ,idled back to marina? First time out after storage.

    Rack steering cable

    I installed a new rack and pinion steering cable to replace the broken one,and it seems the helm gear jams when installed. The gear seems to go into the rack too far. Is there a possible remedy or do I replace the helm gear. I am sure everything is put back properly?

    How to measure Steering cable

    I have a rack and pinion steering. To replace the cable ,Do I measure the old one complete from end of rack and pinion to end of steering rod or just the length of cable,as I have it out of boat. Thanks for help in advance.P.S. The old cable measures 12ft.from rack to approach on steering rod.

    tilt motor wont operate

    Tilt motor was working when I stored for winter. Now solenoids up and down click but motor does not operate. I checked and cleaned all motor and pump connections but to no avail? Battery is full charged. This is on a 1987 searay seville

    3.0 liter shift problem

    engine starts right up and goes into reverse but when shifting to forward engine quits.If I go real easy with shifter some times goes into forward gear without activating cutout switch.?

    1997 crestliner 4.3 merc outdrive water in motor sump

    I keep getting quite a bit of water in motor well but no leaks on motor or hoses. If it is hooked up to muffs and run no water, but run it in the water and motor sump gets pretty full. Cant find where the water is coming in?
