Trying to change the exhaust tube on a Bf8a outboard that was leaking.
In the manual it appears the powerhead has to come off to change it.
not a problem except the vertical shaft WILL NOT seperate from the powerhead so I can lift the powerhead up and change the exhaust tube.
IF I ever get it...

I have a volvo 280 with a 12 3/4 flywheel and I noticed a screw/bolt on the top of the bellhousing above where the main shaft goes thru. After opening it up it appears empty inside(no oil or grease) except a little bit of a grey paste on the bottom of the bolt.
My question is what goes in...
I have a 24' Zeta that I got recently with a volvo 280 leg. I bought it knowing the engine was toast(boat filled with water). The 280 leg has about 50hrs on a complete rebuild. I picked up a good vortec engine and dropped it in with all the correct marine equipment. It runs great(in my driveway)...
I am replacing a pre 86 350 in a volvo 280 leg boat with a late 90's vortec 350 out of a truck(of course adding all the marine necessary parts). Will my existing flywheel work or do I need a new one. If I need a new one what do I look for?

I have a 17 ft deep V boat(Double Eagle) with a Buick V6 and an electric shift OMC leg. Three years ago when I bought it for a song( I know that just means it needed a lot of work)
I got the motor rebuilt and balanced and the leg rebuilt by the local expert on OMC's. When it was done the boat...
