    Hi Again, While I was on asking about a service manual for my 40hp I forgot my second question. The coils on the 40 have blown and I have a spare 20hp which has a pair of new coils, they look identical in size and shape. Does anyone know if i can use them as a replacement on my 40? skipper711

    I need a workshop manual for a 50hp Johnson it's either 71 or 72 model, I want to avoid Clymer & Seloc type. I know I have seen a thread about this but cannot find it, can someone pinpoint the thread or tell me where I can locate a copy please.

    Hot Horn for 72 50hp

    Am I correct in assuming the Hot Horn off the above motor is just an audible warning and could be replaced with a warning light fitted to the steering console of my boat?
