I had a 70 hp evinrude that blew. I replaced powerhead with 75 johnson. It dies with I as on it out of the hole. I put the carbs off the 70 hp on it . I also changed the powerpack , coils, plugs , but I did not change the jets . Could this be my problem?
I am changing out the powerhead on my 1981 70hp evinrude with a 1985 powerhead. I want to know all the gaskets I will need. I have the base, intake, carb, and carb to airbox gaskets. Is there any others I need. I want to make sure I have all when I start.
I am looking for a GOOD used enirude / johnson outboard 50/70 hp. resonably priced. I have a 1980-82 model with a bad powerhead, so if I could just find one of them I would be in buisness.
I have an 80-84 model 70hp evinrude. It was running fine the other day and then it just quit. After getting it home I started it up and it is only running on 2 cyl. the top cyl. is firing and it is getting gas, but not putting out power. What could this be? HELP
