    Mercury 115hp, wont rev up past 2000rpm's underload

    I posted this question last summer but since then have done a lot of repairs. I have a 1996 115hp mercury tracker motor. It will rev up to 6000 rpm's when in neutral. When I put it in gear and take the pontoon boat out it will only rev up to 3000 rpm's. I took it to a reliable marine mechanic...
