I have an 13 1/4 x 17" SS prop for my OMC 110 Hp. Will that prop fit a Merc or Yammy?

    iboats software

I been dropping by iboats for some 12 years now. You seem to be driven to tweak the software from time to time and not always with good results. The present version is an example where the new and improved is far worse by any measure to what you were using. Sad! - - Like an outboard - if'n it is...

Switching from AT&T to Comcast - Will I Lose My Email Address?

I have had my bellsouth.net email address for many years and hope not to lose it. I am switching my ISP from AT&T to Comcast and am getting conflicting answers on whether I will lose my bellsouth or not. Some say yes unless I pay ATT&T some fee to retain it. I have also been told that AT&T...

    557 hp 6.2L V8 OUTBOARD!!!!!

Yup! They had um at the Miami boat show. And there was at least one rig with more than one hangin on the back. Seems they took a Caddy V8 did some marine stuff to it and woopiee - we gots a monster - and from the looks of it they put a huge amount of thought and engineering into the package.

Boat U.S. magazine of Oct/Nov 2012 Rreports Corrosion Problems with the Yammy F225

Article delves into 2000 to 2004 exhaust corrosion problems after 5-700 hours with little or no help from Yahama. What has been your experience? I am kinda thinking of repowering to a 6 cyl Yahama.

    Hearing Aids

I have had hearing aids for around four years and while they have allowed me to hear a lot of what was lost to me for a long time I have never been completely satisfied. I have BTE Phonac in both ears. What gets me is I hear better with my wireless headhpones or iPods with ear buds than I do...

    Kitchen Counter Tops

We have 20 year old formica kitchen counter tops that I would like to replace. I want something other than formica. Ideally the new surface must be durable, attractive and "reasonably" priced. Recommendations?

What You Call It & Where Can I Get It????

I need the "thingy" that goes through the bottom of the transom on an alumnium 12' boat that the transom plug goes through. It would be a plate (I assume alumnium) that is afixed to the transom with a 5/8" hole for the drain plug. The transom looks like this: This image was shot from the...

Garage Door Openers & Florescent lights

I recently added two florescent light fixtures to the cieling of our garage. One of them is an eight footer and is within 1' of the motor for the garage door opener. The garage door opener is opened and closed by either a wired switch by the door to the house or one of two remotes (one in one of...

    1999 Yukon - $1,000 to Paint Top & Hood???

The paint on my wife's Yukon is crazing rather badly (see pictures below). I got an estimate today for $1,000.00from a body shop to paint just the top and the hood. I have never done any painting on a car myself so do not know what is involved. I have to believe that I should be able to do a...

    Boiling Eggs

This is super technical stuff. I am looking for a way to cook eggs where the egg shell comes off easily without sticking to the egg itself. Here is how my wife does it now - - She puts the eggs in a pot of cold water, brings it to a boil, removes from the heat and lets sit for 15 minutes. The...

    Car Headlights - Cloudy

Many of todays car headlights get cloudy after a few years. Is there any way to restore that crystal clear transparency? I suspect it is caused by the UV rays from the sun and age but have no clue on how to remove it. It reminds me of the back window of convertible tops or side curtains on a boat.

I'm looking at a 1966 Pontiac convertible with a the original 389 CI 275 hp with a two barrel carb. Can I run this as a daily driver with todays fuel? What grade fuel? Will I need additives & if so what? The owner says he adds a bit of racing fuel once in a while but I do not want to get into...
