    Drying the floor and hull

Here I am drying the floor and hull of my 1969 Arkansas Traveler Comet. Opened her up yesterday (after much back and forth with myself about it) to discover that the floor and stringers are solid, but wet (mostly due to poor storage and about 12 screw holes in the floor). So I decided to get...

What did my 1969 Big Twin look like...in 1969?

This may be an odd question and it certainly is not repair oriented, but I'm really wondering what my 1969 Big Twin originally looked like. (color, paint scheme) Over the years it has been (badly) repainted, but would like to see some pics to get the color scheme right for when I get around to...

    Halfway there...

Spent some time today with my 'no spark' 1969 Big Twin. Cleaned everything up, sanded the points with 600 grit, gapped them to 020... Got fire on the top cylinder, but no luck on the bottom. Gonna get a new set of points on Monday. BTW the coils and condensors (i think) look like new! Probably...

Hi folks, Got my Big Twin cleaned up, changed the plugs, did some re-wiring, got rid of the automatic choke...ready to fire her up and...nothing.... Got fire pretty much everywhere, including the kill switch under the flywheel (if i disconnect it, it won't turn) but took out the plugs and...

Just a quick question. How do I know if I should be cutting out the floor of my boat and re-plywood/re-glassing? I'm working on renovating a 1969 Arkansas Traveler 14ft Comet. The inside of the boat (glass) is in pretty good shape, but there are a few 'soft spots' on the floor. The boat has...
