I have had the carburetor rebuilt I bought a new fuel pump I’ve tested the coils and spark replace the fuel lines, compression checks 110 both cylinders. Still this motor will not start cold unless I squirt gas into the airhorn then it starts on the first or second pull. It seems as though...
So I remove the airhorn off the carburetor so I could look directly into the choke flapper opening I close the choke flap completely comfortable firm. And tried to start the engine with 45° temperature would not start I waited till later in the morning when the temperature got up to about 60...
You’re right this is an excellent motor and it starts right up once the morning warms up it’s only an issue when temperatures are below 45 Fahrenheit. It may be the non-ethanol premixed gas not having enough octane. This gas runs almost $100 for 5 gallons.
I removed airhorn so I can visually see choke flap closed punk ball Firm still would not start. I see fuel leaking from under choke flat. Now What???
Total frustration!!!!
Chokers pulled all the way out ball pumped still will not start. Fuel appears to be leaking from under choke flat. So it seems fuel is getting into carburetor but not firing. Now What!!!!
