    50 yamaha vs 50 etec

    I'm looking at two Hobie 15 Power skiffs. One is powered by an 88 50 HP Yamaha, no trim or tilt. The other a 2005 50 HP evinrude Etec with about 10 hours on it which has trim and tilt. I'm leaning toward the Etec since hopefully it would be like a new motor and I would not have to worry about it...

    OMC sealing compound substitution

    To reassemble the water pump on my 1988 Evinrude 88 spl You are supposed to use OMC Gasket sealing compound, for under the gasket, OMC Adhesive M for the impeller o ring.
