    Early 90's vintage merc or Suzuki

    I am looking at two very similar early 90's vintage boats, one has a Merc 150 and the other a Suzuki 140. Boats are within $400 of each other. Does anyone have opinions on the outboard types as to good bad or otherwise ?

    Do the small 2hp range 4 stroke outboards vibrate considerably due to the fact that they are single cylinder or do they good counter balancing systems in them? Are any of them quieter than others?

    Of the small 2-3hp 4 stroke outboards which are quietest? I see Honda/Suzuki are air cooled, does this make the engine run louder? I know the air cooled makes them lighter, specs show considerably lighter than Merc.

    225 Ocean Pro power trim quit working

    My 1994 Evinrude 225 Ocean Pro power trim quit working. The motor runs but does not trim. I tried filling the hydraulic reservoir but it is full. Any ideas?

    Should a person be concerned about the age of an older fiberglass (1977) boat even though it looks clean? Does old fiberglass get weak? The boat has only been in freshwater.

    94 Ocean Pro flywheel magnets

    My 94 225 Ocean Pro flywheel has 2 cracked magnets and one loose. I see where I can get replacement magnet kits and re-glue. Should I replace all magents or can I get away with regluing the loose one and replacing the cracked ones? Is there a problem with bead blasting the surface to clean it?
