    gear select switch in 72 johnson controls

    3 way switch went bad and i cant find a new on..i was thinking of wiring a 3 way to the dash so that i can shift manualy .. what do yall think?

    1972 85 hp johnson rectifire problems

    need helllllp<br /> rectifire burned up on my 1972 85hp johnson so i went and got a new one...put it on (correctly) but as soon as i hook up the battery the damm thing gets burrning hot an it fried again? any suggestions?
