Took my boat out today everything was working?
After I took boat out I lifted the motor to put in the lock so I can trailer it in the upright position and when I went to lower of onto the lock bar it wouldn't go down at all motor wouldn't even make noise!!

When I tilt motor up it very slowly drops down..what could it be and what would I have to replace and how much?
Don't seem to find any leaks on the connections.

I got a 1989 force 125 outboard and just at the end of the season i put a new water pump on and now storing for the winter...My question is..I did the fogging and put the stuff in the gas tank now is it a good idea to remove the lower unit and store it inside the house or is it goona be the same...

this is actually my neighbors boat and he's having a problem..
When he goes into high spped the motor just dies...
what could be causing this to happen?

got the boat this summer and never changed oil yet so this is the first time.
I wanted to change the oil in the lower unit and when i took it out it was like a cream color(i think thats bad).Is there moisture or water in there?

i got a force 125
well i went out last weekend and everything was good today i put it in the water start it up and as i pull way from the dock the buzzer goes off.No water comes out of the two little holes at idle.
Is the impeller and or the water pump bad?
How do i tell which one it is...

I found some numbers on the front-top side of the motor and i don't know if this will tell the age. 1258F9E right under that ingraved in the motor was another number 422 91

I noticed when i start my motor that it jerks a bit and sometimes shuts off..then i restart it and let it sit for a min or two in idle then it runs fine doesn't jerk anymore..is this normal till it warms up a bit...it might do this a couple of times but then stays good...
when i tilt my motor up (electric tilt) it will not stay up it slowly comes down.i don't believe thats supposed to happen.What can be wrong and what might be my problem and how do i fix it....Once again i'm new to this...any help would be apreciated.....thanks
well i just got a used boat and when i go to put this in forward or reverse i hear the gears clicking in(oud noise).then after the gear is in its good until i go back to reverse or forward again is this normal for this outboard 1990 force 125 to do this or is there something that has to be fixed...
