    blue spark

    I have a 1977-70hp evinrude, and when I checked the spark with a sparkgap tester(homemade), it has spark over the 7/16 gap. The spark is not blue to me as has been described by many. Is it possible to have a spark across the gap but still be weak?

    fuel hose clamps

    I replaced all the fuel lines from fuel pump to carbs, and the hose clamps that were on it were plastic tyes.     I've seen alot of reference to napa for seafoam and parts,etc. Is this any NAPA,or is it just NAPA stores in areas with lots of boating?

    tank vent

    Where does a 6 gal. OMC portable tank vent? It has a nonvented cap. Doesn't it have to vent? This is not the type that has the vent knob.

    chemicals

    Are there any cleaners that could safely take the place of the marine decarb sprays? Also, is it bad to use carb cleaners in the intake while it is running? Anyone know what's in a decarb spray,is it the same as carb cleaner?
