Re: Starcraft "Splash of the Year" Official Poll
Ok Starmada - Here it is the 2013 Splash of the Year Plaque....I was waiting for Dozer to send me his address and I wasn't getting it...I thought he was a little ashamed as he stole 2/3 of my boats name for his...or he was high on Molson, bacon...
It's that time of year - time for someone to join TGP and North Beach as winners of the Starmada "Splash of the Year":D
You will catch bigger fish, small children and dogs will like you more but your wife will think you are even goofier.
All that said your boat will be immortalized and you get...
I am starting a new thread as someone may look for this topic in the future!!
I am doing the unthinkable - the Holiday is going to become open bow! As with certain things in life - there have been technological advances since 1968 - and one is the open bow. I am not going to move the windshield...

Re: Splash of the Year Time!!!! FINALLY AWARDED
OK - In true Starmada fashion - NB went off the radar, then came back on and returned the plaque - then TGP won and HE went of the radar - then came back on - then I got the plaque and...
I just rebuilt the carb on my 3.0 with the 2BBL Mercarb.
The accelerator pump was weak = bogging - so that got fixed.
I have always had a little trouble with hot starts - lots of cranking.
Has anyone rebuilt their carb and added the spring needle to the float needle and seat assembly - when...
I have a 3.0 Merc - no spark - battery has been checked and is fine. I have voltage to the coil but no juice coming out of the coil. When I crank the starter I am getting 9.8 volts at the terminal of the coil to ground. Battery is 12.8.
Can the coil be bad? No moving parts but then again...
Ok - everyone knows I am a proud Holiday owner - the old school look/lines look alot better than the SS's....but the open bow is definately a technological advance on par with the internet, cell phones etc.
The Holiday has the windshield pushed up as far as possible - and after much measuring I...

Handsome and Priceless!!
Can you guys throw out some names so we can put together a poll?
Thanks
So - in a burst of Superhero Boatism - took the 1968 18 Holiday out on Lake Erie - tooling around Buffalo Inner and Outer Harbors - they are actually succeeding in some cool development. Went out on the lake and noticed the "waving of arms" ended up towing a late model Searay in with some...
Taking the boat up to the ADK for a week right before labor day....as we know the ADK it might even snow....anyway anyone get a recent off the shelf boat cover that fits well for our boats?
Not quite ready for a custom job yet.....thanks!!
So we all have helpful hints on what went well - we have all goofed up - here is your chance to tell what you would have done different: I'll start!
1968 Holiday Closed Bow I/0
1. I would have put the gas tank up front.
2. I would have keyed the hull better before I primed and painted -...
Probably would have been more embarassing - well maybe not.
Mr and Mrs Starcrafter65 took the Bare Naked Lady out on Lake Erie last week - so it was just us two launching. We were launching at Erie Basin Marina - Buffalo - so pretty crowded.
Normally launching is about as easy as pie - and the...

:DStarmada,
Here it is - The Strarmada Splash of the Year Award. The inaugural winner is NB "Liquid Limo". Clay wins because we screwed him at Tinstock, his motor even blew up while we were stiffing him, and if you have seen pictures of him....well he could use an award - either that or he set...
