Yes all the bolts are out.LOL I bought the boat motor and trailer at an estate sale for $500 so no info available. Assuming it's aftermarket I sent Bay an email to see if the kit is still available if not I'll just switch it back to a short shaft
Sorry gear case. I'll send some pics. Checked the site the part wasn't there. It's the aluminum housing between the exhaust housing and gear case 5" high ish
I'm in Vancouver BC Canada. We can't find a part #. Bought the boat a month ago. Went to change the impeller and can't get the gear head off. Kinda want to smash the extender apart but need the parts first

Is there anyone who knows of one and or a shorter drive shaft and water shift tube to convert it back to a short shaft

I picked up an older merc 7.5 thunderbolt outboard a few months ago and the if plate is missing. On the side of the block there is a stamp that says ser. No. 6 22 9 . I'm assuming this is the serial number but I can't find a listing in the numerous sites I've visited any help would be awesome thanks
I just inherited my dad's old boat motor I took it out for the first time today and it ran perfect started first pull no probs untill I beached the boat for a few hours now it will not start I've got fuel and I had a buddy look for spark which he saw any ideas where to start
