Getting closer. Here are some pictures of what I have.
Need to know if the pin through the splined shaft is supposed to be like this or should it be straight?
Does the pin actually a drive rod?
Meaning does it engage into the slot below?

Anybody have a link to a detailed drawing of the housing assembly for a quicksilver 3000 the part that the cables actually are attached to. Already have the control (handle assy) looking for how the guts of the housing are assembled. Thanks to all in advance.

Started to repair a very soft floor near the engine and by accident sawed right throught the hull where the fiberglass ALMOST meets the wood. :facepalm:
Need to know what the best way to repair it is. Not affraid to do the work, but only want to do it once and last forever.

Hi all,
Just picked up a 2000 Bayliner Capri 1950. Boat seems to be in very good condition with the exception of a soft area infront of the engine. The floor moves about 1/4" max when you step on it and is only soft in about a 1 ft square area.
No other places on the floor are soft.
