    1971 Evinrude 18hp Electric Starter Coversion

    I am thinking of adding electric start as I already pack a battery for a trolling motor. The motor is a 71 18hp. I think the starting system will be, starter, solenoid, wires, and ignition switch. I purchased a bracket off of Ebay. Did I get the right one? Thanks, Kevin

    Howdy all, I recently purchased a 18 HP evinrude and am trying to determine the model and year. The id plate is missing and the block plug is only has a serial number: e3441247 . I think it is a 72 or 73 but I am unsure. Where else might I find a model number? Any insight is appreciated.
