Hi Everyone, so we found a replacement motor for our 1996 four winns. starts and runs great yet it has has twice now after running to stay running after turning the key off. could this be a key issue? or carb issue ? thanks for your help by the way when it does do this as you folks know it...
ok .. so intake is off and it does seem the block is cracked..... two spots arent smooth below the head. when i use finger nail it gets caught on a little line. the block # is 10227196 near the bell housing ... can anyone tell me what 4.3 block i need to ask for a parts yard? or does anyone...

the boat is a 1996 four winns. so i believe that motor is a 1996. I plan on getting the serial # as we start to do more investigating. we are still in process of pulling the intake. thanks for working with us.
i have been working on a volvo motor that had frost plugs pushed out.. put them back and got it running.. seems to be running good, but i see some white in new oil change. Is it possible to swap out with a merc motor or use the block . i been reading that both use the GM block. I am going to...
