    225 Verado Idles at 3000 rpm, will not shift

    i have a 225 4 stroke Verado OB, when i go to start motor, engine revs to 3000 rpm, alarm is sounding and will not idle down. idle is to fast to switch into forward /rev. called dealer he said operate throttle when engine is off, full both ways. didnt change anything... any ideas? Thanks Steve

    18 hp not charging

    I have a 1964 18hp, with electric start. i have ordered manual but wont see it till next week. engine starts and runs good, but i am not reading a voltage increase at battery. wiring is connected thru plug on motor, connection point at solenoid box all connected, dont have wiring diagram yet too...

    Evinrude 18hp year?

    I picked up an 18hp, with electric start, and cannot find out what year it is, numbers i can find 18402D C429485. need to get a manual but need year so i get right one Thanks Steve
