First boat I've owned... rebuilt hull and now trying to figure out outboard.
Serial number OB381704. After sitting through the long rebuild it would start but wouldn't idle. Replaced plugs, fuel filter, rebuilt carbs with new needle/seats. All hoses between tank and motor are new. I did add...

Here's the pop up...
Looking at the transom as a whole now it seems it's made up of several small pieces. I'm wondering if I should just trace the entire thing and make it one large one or what. It extends almost the whole width of the stern, be that good or bad.
Another thank you Austin!
Believe me, I've got several pry bars and all of them have been beaten between the splash well and transom. A long cold chisel is what I was able to chip part of that glue out; but the wedges seemed like a great idea and sure enough, we started making progress after...
I've got to be missing something;
I have the splash well cut down to the where the cap and hull split but I can't for the life of me get it to come out! No matter how much I pry I can't seem to break it loose. It's seems to be glued or somehow attached to the transom but I can't see anything...
With the supports done I was able to carefully remove the last of the bow pieces intact. The bulkhead here was solid with no drainage to the bilge area. When I got the floor above it removed I found 2" of standing water. Is there any reason I shouldn't add drainage to this area to...
Exploring options of supporting the hull during renovation and I wanted to get your opinion on this idea...
I don't have enough space between the hull bottom and the trailer to fit 2 in. lumber but I can run a board parallel to the boats center line and then I can fit boards horizontally which...
Question: This is the bow section cut out. There was a sort of "step" up from the main deck that
I removed the top of and it had nothing but foam in it. Is it structurally needed? I'd like to keep one deck
level and use the extra room for a bit more storage if it doesn't serve any needed...
Thanks for that. I'm a visual guy (and often clueless about many boat terms) so pictures always help.
I took this pic from your Coronado restore; is this the bunk you created? Does it physically lift the hull
off the rollers slightly? (Beautiful boat btw!)
I still have a ways to go before...
I didn't even notice when it happened and not sure how horrible it is... but during the removal of the last
seat storage I must have hit the floor with my sawzall. Went clear through the bottom. :blue:
Thanks everyone for helping!
Okay, I'm going to see how many pictures the forum will let me post at once... I took a bunch of
different angles and hopefully a couple will help, but if not please don't hesitate to let me know!
These are mainly from above the splash well:
Here's some from the...
Absolutely, that'd be a BIG help. I took this one real quick as it's getting dark but if
one from the backside or a different angle would help, just let me know. I really appreciate
the advise!
This is probably a question I should know the answer... I'm rebuilding an '89 Campion Allante
185; floor and stringers are mush. I was hoping things would get better towards the transom
but I'm obviously not one of the 1%. :) I'm assuming since the stringers are bad up to the
transom, and the...
I'm starting a floor/stringer rebuild of a 18' Campion but I'm not sure the best way to remove the seat bases and storage
shelves that seem to be glassed to the hull and in the stern. I was hoping I could reuse them but now I don't see how. I've
read dozens of build threads but I don't often see...
