    I got an email from a guy on this forum. My motor runs great, rebuilt carb, idles great, runs great, but doesnt get up to RPM?     I forgot to ask?

    Is it hard to change the impeller? I've never done it before, I bought 1 on the internet when I bought the carb kit. Also is there a way to tighten the steering? It is very loose, good for steering but the motor moves everytime I go to start it.<br />Thanks,<br />Steve

    Help with 1963 Evinrude 18hp

    I bought a "new" 18hp evinrude. Started but ran rough or wouldn't stay running. I rebuilt the carb, starts right up, idles fine now, but put it in gear and it seems doggy, won't come up to high RPM in the barrel. Real smokey too, i am running it at 24:1 like you guys told me.
