I am having a hard time getting this to come out. Gently prying is not working.
My question is, do I really have to do this? The one that is in there looks great - could I just replace the impeller in the water pump and put in some nice new gaskets and call it good?

I'm still struggling with the littlest things and its the simplest boat you can imagine. A 1997 Maxum with a 3.0L motor (3.0LX) and it's just seawater cooled.
I want to replace the water pump on the engine block (water circulator), but I cannot find the recommendations for torquing that...

Working on an Alpha One Gen II and trying to split the case on the lower unit to service the water pump, but the shorter bolt that ties them together from underneath near the pin in back has broken.
I've found some good links on how to take out a broken off bolt and if I don't have left hand...
