I have a Merc 650 1973 I replaced the Switch box ***. and it is running fairly well. Idle is abit rough, so I advanced the timing two teeth clockwise "belt on the distributor". seems to be just purring I turn down the idle speed and she runs great. I have not put her in the water yet to see how...
Ok here it is. I have 11+ volts to the red 11 + to the white and 11+ to the white/black No power to the coil at all and nothing at the brown, blue or black wires. Needless to say I have no spark. What should be tryed next??

I have a 65 HP Mercury #7020428 3 cyl has dis. and one coil which is the best manuel to buy? I have no spark but I have been reading some of the posts here and have a list of things to start with. Do they make a manuel for just this motor or do I have to buy one that cover 40-115 hp.
