Ok i have a 1979 175 evinrude thats blown bad crank rods pistons ect i found a 70s modle 235 evinrude at my local evinrude dealer thats been built but the coils and stater are bad there evinrude tec told me all my electronics will swap over has any one ever done this or know if itll work
ok guys i have a 90s modle fuel injected 150 merc thet i aquired that is blown i also got another good block crank and rods but need 2 pistons and rod bearing but the block and crank and rods are a diff year modle the pistons a a lil diff between the 2 idk what year the motor eas the block came...

what rpm should my 1995 150 johnson run on start up i was told that it is in quick start mode till it gets to running temp. when i start it it idles at 1800 rpm but it worries me so ive not ever got it completly to running temp and this is all on the hose iv not put in the water yet.

i am trying to buy a 1996 efi 150 johnson that has set for several years due to a tree falling on boat. any hooo the guy may let me bring it home and make sure it runs and if i get it is there a cheap way to clean the in jectors if they need it.:confused:
