    I did not touch or adjust any thing, all I did was put the stern drive on the back of the boat. The steering work before I put the stern drive on.

    I did change out trim tabs from hydraulic to smart tabs could that have something to do with it?

    I did not touch any of the steering. All I did was replace the stern drive and it is rotary steering. I think they call it TRU-COURSE STEERING. Could the worm wheel in stern drive been put in wrong? Like I said every thing worked good intel I put the stern drive in. Could it be wrong spur gear...

    Yeah and then I put used stern drive on that's when it started.

    I have a 1985 bayliner with OMC stern drive.I replaced the stern drive with used one. Now when I steer to right it goes left, and when I steer left it goes right. Am I missing something? Can anyone help me?
