Cowl latch 90 HP inline six

I have an '84 inline six (90 HP brown band). The top cowl latch (one of three) is broken. There is a hook that screws into a black plastic disk. The disk is cracked and will no longer hold the hook. Where can I get a replacement disk? Thanks.

G

    Glastron rating plate....Where?

I have a 1986 16 foot Glastron bowrider. I looked in the classic Glastron site and the closest match would be the SSV-167 model. That boat was rated for 120 HP. I cannot find the rating plate on my boat. Were they placed in only one location? Has the plate been lost? Any help would be...

Briggs and Stratton 5 hp kicker motor

Anyone have an opinion about this new motor? Price and weight sound good. Motor is air cooled yet they won't back it if you use it in salt water (seems odd). Opinions?

What year is my 90 hp inline 6 Merc?

Thanks for your help. Serial number is: 6570840. The lower unit also has a number: 4 93488 (found in a silver oval). Speaking of lower unit, there is what appears to be a black rubber tube coming out of the lower unit with a plug in it. What is this for? Thanks again.

G

choke issue (starting procedure?)(solenoid?) 90 hp 6 cyl merc

The manual is on the way. I have a '87 (or '86?) 6 cyl 90 hp merc. When cold it doesn't want to start. I pump the fuel bulb until hard, push the key in to choke, and advance the throttle. No good. I found the choke activator switch inside the motor. When I hold this button with the...
