With a freshly charged battery my always faithful motor turns over two slow times and starts fine ,runs fine . is there a keyway under the flywheel that could be partially bent causing it to act like a little out of time
I have a 20hp 20rl71 that runs great + electric start ,new fuel pump rebuilt carb but it jumps in and out of gear like you hit a stump......I have a 69r 20hp johnson pull start that does not run can I use to whole lower unit off the 69 on the 71 they appear to look the same. Any advice really...
I have a 9.8 merc 1985 my son pulled the boat up on the bank with the motor locked down and later tried to shove it back out. something snapped the swivel unit with the clamps and tiller arm is still attached but the power head including lower unit is separate.it appears to have snapped two...
I have a 1971 20 hp Johnson that is leaking lower unit oil. The oil appears to come from the area between the back of the prop and the lower unit. Not a mechanic but due to finances I am gonna have to be one ,,,any suggestions really appreciated .
