Yeah, might just clean this unit up really nice and sell it for something a little newer and more features. i just really like the look of old boats brings me back to child hood with wood water skis
New to boating, fixed / fixing a plethora of issues with new to me boat. have a 18' glastron with 280 od and 302 merc eng.
now as far as i know the leg tilt system is only designed for trailering and what not. but is the fixed lock trim the only option?

just wanted to chime in on this thread, i used a turning point propller with a #510 hub, as listed for 17 spline,
was required to get a new threaded prop cone/nut and drill and tap propeller shaft. i did try several different ways of securing propeller, none felt sturdy enough to risk 400...
thats a good idea, i was trying to find a drill jig of some sort online but they area few and far between . piece of pipe is a good call thanks for that.
just first design, actual shaft length is long vs.. only thing im wondering now is if i can just omit the cone and get a regular nut and tang washer rather then tapping the propeller shaft and finding a new cone with hole for said fastener
