I have a 7.5 erude that was on my 12'jon boat, runs great and pushes it right along. I am now putting it on my 18' vee hull to use as a kicker. It seems to cavitate/slip at high rpm, hub is good. Should I increase or decrease the prop pitch to push the additional weight?<br /><br />Smitty

How do ya'll feel about aftermarket parts vs OEM. I'm looking at water pump prices. $34.00 vs $65.00 either way I have to order the part. Just looking for opinons. The aftermarket water pump is GLM.<br /><br />Smitty

1978 55 Johnson <br /><br />I just rebuilt the carbs, checked timing and sync. replaced the prop. and I still can not get over 4000 rpms. The idle is lousey. Spark plugs are always wet when I pull them out and check them. Unfortuneatly the slow speed and high speed jets are fixed no adjustment...
