I have a 73 johnson 25hp. I found a 78 for cheap and thought I would verify that these motors were mostly identical? To my knowledge, they were. Info appreciated.
I'm looking for a year on a chrysler 7.5 (mod # - VWB 52179B). I would look it up myself but it seems i lost the web site that was saved in my favorites.....Thanks
I have been working on getting this motor running good. I actually was in the process of tuning, when the carb starting pissing out fuel. When i traced the leak it led me to a open hole under the carb right between the butterfly and bowl. I have a couple other TN-26's in the attic. While...
I have ran into yet another issue with this motor. While attempting to start the motor all i'm getting is the occasional firing out of the exhaust and backfire out of the intake. The motor is creating excellent spark and has good compression. While checking the plugs it looked like the oil...
I have been using 50:1 for a long long time. A guy I was talking to said he uses 100:1 in a similiar 20hp. This might sound stupid, but please tell me this guy is nuts and not me.

I'm just finishing rebuilding a old 4.5hp martin motor and i was looking for some information. I tried running the number on the motor to find out what year it was but i think its just the serial number (B 47982) and i can't find anything. This is the only visible number. From what i know it...
I was looking for a online schematic for evinrude motors, or any motors for that sake. Does anyone know anywhere. I can find schematics for anything but outboards. Thanks.
I'm trying to get all my fuel mixtures right for all my motors. I have a 1974 johnson 25hp. Until this point in time i have ran 50:1. Is this recommended for this motor.
Does anyone know what fuel mixture to run in a 1969 sea king 6hp ***AND*** a 1972-1976 clinton air cooled 5hp? I thought i would run 40:1 in the 6hp since it may have bronze sleeve bearings but i don't know? And i don't know if 50:1 would be healty in the air cooled 5hp?
I was tearing apart my buddies 5hp when i took off the lower unit. Before i put it back on i want to make sure i replace the grease with just grease? Does anything special supposed to go in here?
