My mercury 175 sportjet in my sugar sand tango is having some problems. I got a bit of water in the cylinder after having (what I thought) to be an electrical problem. The boat would run for about 30 seconds on the water and then die. This is after I emptied the water.

Are there any tests I should run, I have seen people mention exhaust manifold and other things to test? I don't mind tearing down if that's what needs to happen, but rather not use the open it up and see method if not needed.
