I have a 1974 Evinrude 15hp tiller outboard on a 14? open boat. When I get up on plane, if I let go of the control the outboard makes a sharp right turn. I?d like to be able to let go for a minute without that happening.

I have a 1974 Evinrude 15hp that?s giving me a hard time. Something with the electrical system isn?t right.

Rebuilt carburetor and, added new ignition coils and plugs in a few months ago, and outboard was running great.
Last week, one cylinder cuts out.
Get it home and...
Took apart the water pump on this 15hp Evinrude. Water pump/impeller looks okay. While idle, it spits out water from the pee-hole. It's not a steady flow. Is that normal?
