    Engine wil not shut off when key is in off position

    I just replaced the voltage regulator in my Johnson 225 1989 and now when I turn the key to the off position, the engine does not stop running. Any ideas? Did I reverse some wires? Thanks for the reply and help!

    Johnson 225

    I have just replaced my fuel/oil pump and the engine starts great and runs excellant at high rpm. The problem exists when I slow down. she sounds like she is only running on a few cylinders. Any ideas?

    1994 JOHNSON 40HP WARNING HORN
