    96 115 merc oil alarm won't stop

    My oil alarm goes, (beep, beep,beep), when running or not. I turn the key on and it has the initial long beeeeeeeeep and then goes, (beep, beep, beep, beep, beep), and never stops. I see smoke when I start it and there is plenty of oil in the tank. Help please?

    how does my '96 115 merk work?

    I have a 1996 115 merk outboard. I see the oil line goes from the oil tank to the oil pump and from the oil pump to the gas line and the gas line to the fuel pump and to the carbs. Thats all located on the port side. Then I see several other lines on the starboard side, at least one of them...

    Does my '96 Merk run on 2 and 4 cylenders?

    I was reading another dicussion about a '96 115 Mercury outboard that ran on two cylenders while at lower rpms. I have a '96 115 ELPTO. Is this motor like that also? It seems that when I am accelerating that it will climb slowly at first and them take off.

    Oil On Inj. Side Of Motor'96 Merc.

    I have oil on the the inj. side of my motor behind the oil tank. Enough that it is slightly leaking out the bottom of the crowling. Is this normal?

    '96 115 Mercury Found Disconnected Wire?

    I have '96 115 Merc. There is a small wire located under the oil inj. tank that has come unplugged. Wire is brown with a white stripe. I have used the boat 3 times this year and it seems to run fine. What is this wire for?
