    Johnson 75 (84) won't run in gear, but runs fine when I gain speed in neutral

    Hi all. I have a Johnson 75 hp, 84' model that won't run when I set it in gear; It dies out almost immediately when I try to give it speed. However, when I have it in neutral, it runs fine when I gain speed. Any idea what might cause this? Adjusting the carburetor and ignition to "standard"...

    Johnson 75 hp 1984 Service Manual

    Does anyone know where I can download the Service Manual for this engine? It's very important that it is the Service Manual, and not the Owner's Manual, since exactly how to adjust carb isn't mentioned in the Owner's, or what the correct ignition setting is.

    Adjusting carbuetor on Johnson 75

    Have a 75 Hp Johnson from 83-84 that won't run properly on idle (it stops). I was wondering if anyone knew how to adjust the carbuetor on these engines.

    Hustler high performance prop

    I were planing to buy a steel prop for my engine. Then i came over an aluminium propeller, "Hustler high performence", that claimed they could be compared to a steel prop when it came to top speed. Is this correct? Anyone with experience using this prop?

    Performance of 75 Johnson with low compression?

    Have a 75 hp Johnson from 83/84 that showed 7, 7.2 and 7.5 bar (100-108 PSI) in a compression test. From what I've read, these must be around 8-9 bar (120-130 PSI) optimally. I wonder what this engine miss of effeckt wear-wise.
