17ft skeeter, 115 johnson fast strike, 22" raker, 50mph @6000 rpm. Is that a lot of slippage? Would a jack plate increase my speed or should I go to a higher pitch prop.
I installed a 115hp lower unit onto a 150hp to see if the smaller nosecone will increase my speed. Everything matches up perfectly. My only concern is exhaust. Will it resrict it to much? If so can I port it somehow? thanks

I have 15'6" Bayliner with 85hp Force. Does anyone else have the same set up? If so what kind of speed do you get out of it (GPS)? I can get around 45 mph. 3 blade stainless 19 pitch with tilt and trim. I don't have a tach so I have never ran it wide open out of fear of scattering the engine.

My brother-in-law scattered his motor the other day. Only one piston and cylinder is damaged. It looks like it was starting to melt and the rings came apart. What might have caused this? Can you run one cylinder lean? What is the easiest fix? What is the cheapest fix? Thanks in advance.

1986 85hp Force. When I give it full throttle it stutters for about three seconds and then takes off. I am running my mix a little heavy (40:1) because it was rebuilt recently. Any ideas?
1986 85hp force. Finally got it running, now it won't shut off. Checked continuity at switch and terminal board between blue and white wires and everything is ok. If you turn the switch off and touch the motor it will shock the crap out of you and kill the motor. Any ideas?
