I have a 92 Johnson 90 hp. I have noticed that it surges..faster! all seems normal.. then the motor seems to smooth out even more, like it is getting short power burst?.. you feel it surge foward and then back to normal ...maybe normal is the split second surge.. ???? It appears to be hard...
