Dosen't answer your question but l bought a new primer and line a few months ago.
Wouldn't prime straight out of the packaging,
Luckily l had bought it locally...only a couple of mins drive.
Mechanic tested it on his system and it was faulty.
Replaced it.
Said it had probably been sitting on...
Isn't that a known issue with half cabins/cabin cruisers/ cuddy cabins or other enclosed type boats, specially at low speeds?
Where fumes are sucked back into the cockpit UNLESS a window or hatch is cracked open just a tad,
I noticed it in my son's cuddy cabin a couple of weeks ago when going...
Find a motor wiring diagram and check that your starter solenoid wiring is the same.
If one wire is on the wrong solenoid lug that will blow the fuse every time.time
I recently got my old boat ' ready ' for the water again after it sat in the backyard for a couple of years ( family health issues etc )
I'd regularly run it on muffs and a couple of times l took it down to the boat ramp a block away to run it on the trailer.
It ran well so l didn't bother...
Don't be surprised if your 50'ish year old motor...with no previous known history... does not produce ' better ' compression figures though.
And l like older outboards...coz they are like me...simple!
If you only have one battery and you ' just listen to music ' you run the risk of running the battery down to the point that it won't have enough ooomph to start your motor.
That has happened to a LOT of people over the years.
Either make make room for two dedicated batteries...one for starting...
I remember hearing and reading back in the olden days that when you defrosted the old type domestic kitchen freezer/ fridge you could use that water in car etc etc batteries,
Some people called it distilled water back then,
I remember my dad had some bottles in his shed a looong, looong time...
Got 2.5 of them here in Tasmazia,
Fairly common here as " wallhangers"
Yet to see one actually being used in the water, including ours,
Thinking of passing them on now...de-shedding
What style boat?
" SOME " half cabin/ cuddy cabins can be the real villians of the piece.
Specially those that don't have flow through ventilation...windows, vents etc etc.
( like my sons OZ designed cuddy cabin )
If yours is one of those just try opening the front anchor hatch a tad.
Back in June our 30 ft flybridge cruiser sank in a gale force storm at night,
It was on a mooring,
Anywho...it had twin 5.7 towsport mercruisers,
It was insured so l just contacted the insurance company and put it in their hands,
7 weeks and two days later it was finally re-floated.
Took about...
You are right...you cannot comprehend the monarchy...
The rest of your post is just your opinion.
Which you are allowed to have.
But nothing much will change in the monarchy at the end of the day...apart from whomever is the king at the time.
That is just my opinion.
