    Yeah, that's what I thought. I've owned a couple Thunderbolt motors before, and never had this type of issue. I can say that I do get a nice strong spark across plugs and it will start up first turn of the key, but you have a point a compression test would also be wise. That's gonna be next on...

    Okay, I will give that a try. I've already tried clamping a handheld vice to the middle of shift shaft and tapping it with a hammer, but was afraid of bending it if I hit it to hard. Your way with a weight seems like a better idea since it would even the force all the way around. Am I right in...
