    96 Johnson 225 doesnt fire

    I have a 96 Johnson 225 Venom. It will not fire all the time. When it runs, it runs great, but if it doesn't start right up, it is not going to start at all. I have a new stator, powerpack, and coils. New plugs, new fuel line, new primer solenoid???? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

    No power under load

    I have 1996 Johnson 225, I just put a new power pack on it, which I am sure was bad, I just bought the boat, and I new the power pack was bad, so now I do know it is firing on all cylinders but it has no power when you put it in gear and try to go??? and ideas? Thanks, Tim

    On a 1996 225 Venom, can half the power pack go bad? 3 plugs are good, 3 are wet and oily?

    1996 Johnson 225 Venom

    I changed the plugs, and pulled them after running it awhile on the flush kit, seems the engine is only firing on one side. From the back of the engine, the 3 on the right where all clean, the 3 on the left looked very oily and still wet?? Any ideas, Thanks, Tim

    Emergency cut off

    I have a 96 Johnson 225, and it did not have the emergency cut off on it. I bought the kill switch and it says cut the black and yellow wire, I put the kill switch in between and it did nothing?? I need some help. Thanks, Tim

    89 Merc 4.3 Mercarb hesitation out of the hole

    Just rebuilt the carb, and it really idles a lot better, and is more responsive. Problem is, I have to idle up to about 21 or 2200 rpm, then hit it. If I go from dead idle which is about 700 rpm, it stalls out, well you have to play with it to keep it from stalling out?? Any help?? Thanks, Tim

    89 4.3 Mercruiser Low RPM at WOT

    Just got a 89 Caravelle with a 4.3. Has 17 pitch prop, was not started for awhile, will run at only 3100 rpm's. I changed the cap, rotor, coil, wires, and plugs. It is supposed to run at 44-4800 rpm wot. Could just bad gas be the cause of not getting the right rpm's? I have done all I know...
