Any / all help appriciated. took boat out for my first time, went for 4 -5 runs flat out then out at sea it died, managed to start again but would only run on tickover, if i throttled up it died, i check fuel tank and it was sucked in so realsed filler cap and it then sucked in air, ran then...

first time boat owner, and very naive, my motor wont allways tilt up or down, when i use the switch i hear the solinoid clunk but nothing else, i have shorted both up and down solinoids sometimes it works and others times it doesnt !! is most likley cause the motor ? all replies really...
