Mercruiser 470 Coolant Loss and Milkshake Oil

Ouch! Sounds like you have a head gasket leak to me. Also, looking at your compression each should be with in 10% of each other. You might have a cracked block, Start from the top of the motor work your way down.

New Motor Vibration issues at low RPMs

Whoever put the last motor in Put this module in. I looked up the specs and it’s the wrong timing curve for this motor. I saw the u-joint conversation today. I might do that since they are cheap.

New Motor Vibration issues at low RPMs

All new gimbal bearing, u-joins looked okay. I think a misfire could be possible but it’s only doing it in gear, that’s my concern. I am going to pull the out drive and check the alignment again. It could have shifted or something strange. I did check the alignment 10 times but who knows. As far...

    Mercruiser 3.0 backfire

This sounds like a timing issue. Check to see if the distro bolt came loose and it moving under load. Check your cap to see if any rust or corrosion is under there. look at your wires where they can be getting hot and arcing, then last what comes off my head it timing chain.

I am watching this post. What I am looking at is https://www.seadek.com/ We have used this in the past on a different boat. The problem is the glue on the plywood, you have to clean, sand, clean, and seal the wood then apply this. But i love using this stuff.
