    It's at idle. You think it will pick up at higher Rpms ? Just running in muffs Don’t want a runaway situation It did show 10v DC at idle right off the red rectifier wire. It's doing something.

Pull it out this year same thing I changed the rectifier and checked voltages coming to it . 2 yellow wires were reading 4v each...

    Will a 1966 40 hp block assembly work on a 1964 40hp Johnson outboard , both are Johnsons motors. I have a bad cyl on the 64 and found a good block assembly, it's a 1966. Will things bolt up? Thanks, The Beef
