A bleach solution of 2% kills them. The problem with bleach is it is corrosive. In some states they are using 140 F water temp to flush the tanks and engines. Lake Tahoe is one area.

I do not have the same boat as you but maybe it will help with ideas. We mounted the tower mounts on the side of the boat. That way the factory bimini fits over the top of it. It also fits through the 7' garage door when the tower is lowered.
We used a Monster MT2 tower on a 2011 Tahoe...

I am no expert but I hooked mine, on a 2011 5.0 mpi (cat) engine, to the purple connector. I had to follow the harness back and disconnect it farther back. I then used the harness that came with the Vessel view.

I would think that could be fixed. Have the propeller repair person look at it and see what they think. If it looks like the propeller posted below it would be totally shot.

It depends upon the type of bimini, the type of tower and the boat. I put on a Monster Tower and the factory bimini fits over the top of it. Now it also depends if you want the tower to fold down as well.

I used these on my trailer. They are from Tiedown Engineering. Maybe the bracket could be bent like smokeonthewater said. I have seen them welded to the trailer, at an angle, to accommodate the type of frame.
